#WeNeedYourArt! #ELNetNeedsYou! by Rosie The Red Riveter (aka Director of the European Literature Network)

Art has been a saviour for so many of us over the past year. It has for me – and I’ve never been more prolific. Now it’s your chance to support a great cause by donating a piece of art to auction at 6pm (18:00) BST on Weds 14th April. It can be a cartoon or illustration or painting or print by you – or it can be a piece you own; it can be amateur or professional, print or canvas, contemporary or older. Or it can be something else: for example, the Booker Prize winner Bernardine Evaristo has donated a signed First Edition of Girl, Woman, Other.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! DONATE ART! BUY ART!

Inspirational painter and teacher Ed Sumner has agreed to be our auctioneer. We already have some stunning donations from: Axel Scheffler, Lo Cole, Andy Pearce, Lisa Kalloo and Henny Beaumont, amongst many others.

I’ll donate some of my paintings if you donate some of yours? (A couple of mine below – After some much more famous painters!).

What you need to do: email us with a photo of your proposed artwork or other contribution to alice@eurolitnetwork.com and we’ll get back to you asap with details.

All the accepted artworks will be displayed in an online gallery from Monday 12th April. Each work will be given a Reserve Price and be sold to the highest bidder at 18:00 BST on 14th April in a Zoom auction.
You will need to register if you wish to attend the auction – at alice@eurolitnetwork.com.

It will be fun! You can pick up something wonderful at a great price AND contribute to THE CAUSE!

And what is the cause? The survival of the European Literature Network no less – of six dedicated team members, our Riveter magazines, our website and ten years of activities supporting 1000’s of people for free all over the UK and the rest of Europe.

You can also donate money directly to our Crowdfunding Campaign.
