The Society of Authors: The Authors’ Media Toolkit

The Authors’ Media Toolkit is a day of practical workshops. Come along to equip yourself with the essential tools to be a media-savvy author. Update your author photo, learn how to do a TV/radio interview, increase your profile online.

For the morning session, Kristen Harrison returns to give members a workshop designed to give you the tools and confidence to manage your own online presence. In the afternoon we will be joined by Claire Walding, TV producer and media trainer, who will introduce participants to the skills needed to handle media interviews effectively and with confidence. An authors’ photo session, run by photographer Ian Williams, will take place throughout the day with slots available every ten minutes.

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
