THE POLKA: What’s Riveting in Polish Literature with Anna Blasiak. We have news!
The Polka has a new sibling! Yes, you read that right. The marriage of the European Literature Network (ELNet) and the Polish Cultural Institute (PCI), in my role as PCI’s Head of Literature, has resulted in a new baby in the house, namely The Polka Podcast!
Every two months, ELNet’s ‘mother’ Rosie Goldsmith and I, the Polka-dancing blogger, will meet in the studio to talk about Polish literature in English – what’s out there, what’s coming up and what we’d like to read. We’ll have special guests, readings, interviews, recommendations and more. Generally, it’s an all-you-need-to-know-about-Polish-literature-but-were-afraid-to-ask kind of thing. Your Polish literature one-stop shop.
Our first Polka Podcast will go live on 10 March, to coincide with the start of London Book Fair. And our first episode will be devoted to Polish books adapted to the screen, as it also very happily coincides with the Kinoteka Polish Film Festival happening right now in London and across the UK.
You can listen to The Polka Podcast on your favourite podcast platform. You can also check out The Polka Podcast page here at the ELNet for more information.
