Riveting Russian Translation Workshop: Oliver Ready

Oliver Ready is Research Fellow in Russian Society and Culture at St Antony’s College, Oxford. He is Consultant Editor for Russia, Central and Eastern Europe at the Times Literary Supplement. His translation of Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment was hailed by A. N. Wilson as ‘a five-star hit, which will make you see the original with new eyes’.

Oliver Ready will appear during the Riveting Russian Translation Workshop on 3 August at British Library, alongside Anna GuninBoris Dralyuk, James Rann, as well as writers Alisa Ganieva and Zinovy Zinik.

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
