Riveting Russian Translation Workshop: Anna Gunin

Anna Gunin is the co-translator of Chernobyl Prayer by Svetlana Alexievich. Among her translations are Oleg Pavlov’s award-winning Requiem for a Soldier and Mikail Eldin’s war memoirs The Sky Wept Fire. She has also translated films and fairy tales, plays and poetry.

Anna Gunin will appear during the Riveting Russian Translation Workshop on 3 August at British Library, alongside James Rann, Oliver Ready and Boris Dralyuk, as well as writers Alisa Ganieva and Zinovy Zinik.

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
