European Literature Festival 2016: The Stories We Tell

Take a look back at the expanded programme of our annual European Literature Night, this year re-branded as the first ever European Literature Festival (ELF).

The ELF was a six-week celebration of literature from across the continent in the UK, with more than 60 writers and poets from all 30 EUNIC London members involved in events and projects from 27 April-9 June.

Organised by EUNIC London, with coordination by the Czech Centre. The Festival is supported by the Representation of the European Commission in the UK, with public funding by Arts Council England and carried out in partnership with the British Library. Video made by Daniel Kupsovsky.

More about the festival here.

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
