ELNet November 2021 Newsletter: On the Town

This month I am ON THE TOWN! Sadly without Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Betty Garrett and Ann Miller, but still very much in person, in London, and definitely with a spring in my step and a song in my heart. It’s a joy to be back meeting and greeting friends and colleagues after so many months on Zoom. We held our first IN PERSON European Literature Network Meeting at Europe House in London – therefore, instead of a Newsletter this month I thought I’d share with you all the fantastic ideas and notes from that meeting.

The photo above is of me, Anna and West together again for the first time in nearly two years, taken in front of the flags of Europe House (minus the Union Jack) – still flying proudly in spite of Brexit.

You all seem to be wonderfully busy again – it’s great to hear your news – and it would be magical to see you in person at the Romania Rocks Festival starting this week in London (and on our website).

Don’t forget the fabulous EuropeReadr books podcast – another weekly episode is released tonight at 6pm GMT.

Finally, our #RivetingReviews deadline this month is November 15th.

Love, Rosie The Riveter

and in the words of Strictly’s Brucie (RIP): “Keeep dancing!”

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
