Our #RivetingReviews are getting noticed. Have you read them yet? And if you’d like to try reviewing for us see ‘the rules’ here!. Soon we will be starting a new monthly feature called #RivetingReads in which top writers recommend their top RIVETING European Literature READS in English. Spread the word – open to all authors!
The month we are delighted to welcome journalist and author Lucy Popescu to our riveting ranks. Lucy reviews a heartbreakingly exquisite French novella. West Camel tackles Marcel Proust and his (and Proust’s!) first graphic novel. Judith Vonberg delves into the noir of ‘pre-Nazi’ Germany. Roland Gulliver, Associate Director of Edinburgh International Book Festival, dons his cowboy hat to ride into a Croatian village, and, the author Valeria Vescina, our second riveting recruit this month, reviews the quietly extraordinary Man Booker International Prize-shortlisted Robert Seethaler from Austria. And with possibly one of the most unusual thrillers we’re reviewed, Max Easterman goes whale-hunting in the Faroes.
All Very European. Let’s hope we remain so.
