Edinburgh Book Festival Online starts today

As Edinburgh International Book Festival people can’t put on their usual 900+ event Festival in their lovely tented village in Charlotte Square Gardens, they’ve curated a special online edition. From 15-31 August, enjoy events for adults and children for free. Through the magic of technology, they’ll be crossing continents and time zones to beam events from more than 30 countries straight into your home. What’s more, you’ll be able chat with fellow Festival goers via digital chatrooms and take part in Q&A sessions, and you’ll even be able to meet the author and get your books signed (selected events).

All events are free and available to watch here on our website. See events here, ‘save your place’ and they’ll email you a reminder just before the event.

The European Literature Network was created with the mission of championing great writing from Europe in the UK – and doing it together. Open to writers, translators, publishers, agents, booksellers, festival directors, arts managers and journalists, ELNet is a free, collaborative hub for sharing news and views.

ELNet operates without funding or grants (unfortunately) and is therefore dependent on the passion, professionalism and dedication of our core team and on an extensive network of volunteers, supporters, partners and donors.
