Elena Ferrante’s novels have gripped the imagination and, with the fourth and final book in the Neapolitan series published this autumn, we are thrilled to announce an evening of celebration hosted by Rosie Goldsmith. Ann Goldstein has translated each of the novels and is the closest we get to the writer herself; whilst Polly Samson’s critically acclaimed second novel The Kindness has keen resonance with Ferrante’s work.
Thursday 1st October 19:00
Waterstones London – Piccadilly
203/206 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9HD
This event is free but please RSVP by email: piccadilly@waterstones.com
And, as part of this celebration the Waterstones are also running a competition. All you have to do is write a “fictional biography” of Elena Ferrante, no longer than 250 words, for a chance to win a copy of the new novel, a Waterstones giftcard and a bottle of wine. Only those attending the event can enter the competition. The winner will be announced on the evening. Please email your ‘biographies’ to: ferrantecompetition@europaeditions.com by Friday 25th September. Good luck!
